FTP Attachments® is an ASP.NET application which runs on Windows server having IIS.

Hosted mode application is hosted by Orektic on Orektic server (enzigma.com or ftpattachments.com) for a nominal charge. 

Standalone mode application is hosted on your own Application server hence you have total control over the application.

FTP Attachments® is an ASP.NET based application and needs to be installed on a Windows Server having IIS which supports ASP.NET. Once installed it can use any FTP server of your choice to store the files.

FTP Attachments® supports below edition of Salesforce.

  • Unlimited edition 

  • Developer Edition

Attachments.expert® currently supports following storage servers:

  • Azure Blob
  • Amazon S3
  • Local Disk (HDD or NAS, of your own Windows Server)
  • FTP
  • SFTP

If you want to use multiple storage servers for your Salesforce instance please follow the below steps:

Login to your Salesforce Instance

  • Click on Set up tab
  • In the quick find box search Install packages.
  • Click on the configure button of the Attachments.expert® application.
  • Specify the name of your profile
  • Enter all the credentials of your storage server.
  • Save
  • With the same procedure, a user can add multiple profiles or multiple storage servers.

No, you have to migrate data, and then reconfigure.

No, currently Attachments Expert does not support migration for existing salesforce attachments.

Currently, Attachments.expert supports the following servers:

  • Amazon S3
  • Azure Blob
  • Local Disk
  • FTP (will be supported in next release)
  • SFTP (will be supported in next release)

If your organization uses any of the above server, you just need to set your default storage profile and start using Attachments Expert. For detailed description on Default Storage profile please refer Attachments.expert documentation.
